Not Sure Which Class Is Right for You?

If you're brand new to reformer pilates, we always recommend starting with Beginner Basics. It's not a lesser workout — it's a smarter one. Learning the foundations means you'll get more out of every class you take after it.

Once you've done a handful of Basics sessions and feel comfortable with the equipment and cues, your instructor will let you know when you're ready to move into All Levels.

From there, Intermediate is the natural next step when you're craving more challenge and complexity. There's no rush — progress happens at your pace, not anyone else's.

Still unsure? Reach out and we'll point you in the right direction.

Common Questions

Absolutely. Beginner Basics classes are designed to challenge your body through controlled, precise movement — which is exactly what makes reformer pilates so effective. You'll feel it the next day, we promise. The difference is that the pace allows you to learn proper form so you get more out of every rep.
Everyone in a Beginner Basics class is in the same boat — learning the machine and building their foundation. Our instructors create a supportive, non-competitive environment where the only person you're comparing yourself to is who you were last week.
Most clients feel ready to try All Levels after 4–6 Beginner Basics sessions, but it really depends on how quickly you feel comfortable with the reformer. Your instructor will give you a nudge when the time is right — or you can always ask.
We'd still recommend starting with at least one or two Beginner Basics sessions to get familiar with the reformer specifically. Mat pilates and reformer pilates share principles but the equipment changes everything. A couple of Basics classes will set you up for success.
If you've been attending All Levels consistently, feel confident with the exercises, and are looking for more challenge, Intermediate is likely a great fit. If you're unsure, chat with your instructor — they'll give you an honest answer.
